King Abdullah chairs meeting at crisis centre

King Abdullah II of Jordan chaired a meeting at the National Centre for Security and Crises Management (NCSCM).

Crown Prince Hussein and Prince Ali, the chairman of the NCSCM, were also present during the meeting.

The King reviewed the centre’s readiness to address the current regional development. He was briefed on the measures being taken as attacks on Jordan intensified. He told the attendees that he appreciated the “efforts of all institutions and agencies in defending the Kingdom and ensuring the safety of its people, underscoring the importance of maintaining coordination among all the concerned parties.”

King Abdullah stressed the need to develop rapid response plans to ensure the availability of essential goods through secure stockpiles and sustainable supply chains. He also emphasised the need to regulate the market to prevent price gouging.

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, General Intelligence Department Director, Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni, Public Security Directorate Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah and several ministers attended the meeting.
