Grand Duke Guillaume V of Luxembourg has announced where he and his wife, Grand Duchess Stéphanie, will make their Joyous Entries in 2026 and 2027.
The Joyous Entries were originally announced by the Grand Duke in his first Christmas address last year. These will reflect his commitment to continuing direct engagement with the public.
Joyous Entries are traditionally associated with a new dynastic stage, such as the Grand Duke’s accession in October, and provide the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with the citizens and local authorities.
In 2026, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess will visit:
April 24: Esch-sur-Alzette
July 10: Troisvierges
October 2: Wormeldange
The visits will continue in 2027. The following municipalities will be visited but the dates have yet to be confirmed.
Beckerich
Mersch
On the day before National Day, 22 June, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess will visit Differdange and Ettelbruck.
