The Danish Royal House has announced the education plans for King Frederik and Queen Mary’s four children.

The royal plans were revealed ahead of the autumn semester.

Crown Prince Christian will continue his education and training with the Danish Armed Forces. He began his military training at the Lieutenant’s Training Course on 11 August. The Crown Prince will train for one year, which includes a subsequent period of training as a platoon leader.

His younger siblings will attend different schools. Princess Isabella will continue to study at Øregård Gymnasium for her final year of upper secondary school. She will graduate in spring 2026.

Prince Vincent will remain at Tranegårdsskolen for his 8th-grade year. However, his twin sister, Princess Josephine, has chosen to change schools.

Josephine will, instead, attend the boarding school Spir Efterskole for 8th grade on the Jutland Peninsula. The Princess chose the school herself and will be the first of her siblings to attend a boarding school.

In 2020, the four children of the King and Queen travelled to Switzerland to study for 12 weeks. They were accompanied by their mother. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the international study to end early, and the family returned to Denmark.
