This tiara was presented to Princess Märtha Louise of Norway on her 18th birthday by her grandfather, King Olav V of Norway. It has since been named as King Olav’s Gift Tiara.
The small diamond and pearl tiara has a modern wheat design. It was made by and bought from the jeweller Garrard.
It has remained Princess Märtha Louise’s most-worn tiara over the last few decades. She once loaned the tiara to her mother, who wore it for a reception at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in 1995.
Most notably, she wore the tiara for her wedding to Shaman Durek Verrett in Geiranger in 2024.
