Princess Lalla Meryem of Morocco’s son, Sharif Moulay Idris Filali, has married.
Sharif Moulay Idris Filali married Ahlam Oumha with the blessing of his uncle, King Mohammed VI.
The wedding was a private affair, and following the wedding ceremony, a family celebration was held in the residence of Princess Lalla Meryem.
Princess Lalla Meryem is the eldest daughter of King Hassan II of Morocco and Lalla Latifa Amahzoune. Besides the King, her younger siblings are Princess Lalla Asma, Princess Lalla Hasna and Prince Moulay Rachid. She married Fuad Filali on 15 September 1984, and they had a daughter and a son together before divorcing in 1997.
Her daughter Sharifa Lalla Soukaïna Filali married Mohammed El Mehdi Regragui in 2014, and they had twins before divorcing in 2019.
Sharif Moulay Idris Filali was born on 21 March 1988 in Rabat, and he graduated from the Royal College and Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. He is not in the line of succession for the Moroccan throne.
