King Mohammed VI of Morocco received Prime Minister Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, whom he has charged with forming a new government.
The meeting, which is a crucial moment in the political process, was held at the Royal Palace in Rabat. King Mohammed directly oversees the government formation process.
According to a statement from the Royal Cabinet, the Prime Minister explained to King Mohammed the various stages the formation has already gone through. They discussed political negotiations, agreements between parties and the various candidates for key ministerial positions.
The King emphasised the need for a widespread mobilisation and serious and responsible government action to tackle the magnitude of the challenges affecting all levels of Moroccan society.
