Queen Sofía of Spain visited the “Hope” exhibit in Zamora at the Church of San Cipriano and the Cathedral of Zamora.

The Queen toured the Church of San Cipriano alongside government and religious representatives.

Curators Sergio Pérez Martín and Juan Carlos López Hernández guided Her Majesty through the exhibition created by the Ages of Man Foundation.

She then moved on to the Cathedral of El Salvador to continue the tour.

As is common for royal visits, Queen Sofía signed the guestbook and also received a commemorative gift. The Queen concluded her time with a group photo with organisers and collaborators of the foundation.

The Hope exhibit, whose theme was inspired by Pope Francis, contains 85 works of sacred art from Castile and León, other locations in Spain and Portugal. It includes works of Velázquez, Picasso, El Greco, Goya, Zurbarán, Juan de Juni, and Gregorio Fernández.

The exhibition will run from October 2025 to early April 2026.
