Casa Real has shared images of the Princess of Asturias after her Navy training ship docked in Brazil.

Princess Leonor and her fellow midshipmen docked at the Port of Salvador de Bahia for the next training session on the Juan Sebastián de Elcano ship.

The ship stopped in Brazil to mark the 400th anniversary of the recovery of Salvador de Bahia by a Spanish-Portuguese fleet from the Dutch.

The Sebastián de Elcano is on its 17th training mission, and Princess Leonor is onboard with 75 other trainees. Princess Leonor, 19, has been on the training ship since 11 January.

The Princess is currently undergoing training with the Spanish Navy to prepare her for her future role as monarch. She has already trained with the Spanish Army for a year. She will also train with the Spanish Air Force.
