Princess Ariane of the Netherlands will take a gap year after completing her International Baccalaureate at the United World College Adriatic in Italy earlier this year.
Princess Ariane will use her gap year to work and to travel, the Government Information Service confirmed to news website NU.nl.
This means Princess Ariane will be following in her sisters’ footsteps. Both Princess Amalia and Princess Alexia took a gap year after graduating from high school.
Just before the summer holidays, Princess Ariane took part in the annual photo call and, as she had turned 18 in April, answered questions from the press for the first time. Princess Alexia called her sister “gentle and smart.” Princess Amalia said, “Now she’s suddenly an adult woman.”
