With Mr Berset, the Prince discussed the work accomplished by the Principality during its presidency and the expectations from the member states regarding the 19th Conference of Ministers responsible for Sport, which takes place in Monaco on 3 and 4 November.
Prince Albert addressed the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to affirm Monaco’s commitment to the organisation’s three pillars: human rights, the rule of law, and democracy.

He said, “The Principality of Monaco’s commitment to the Council of Europe is a natural fit—one we are pleased to embody in concrete terms through the key themes shaping our Presidency. Whether it concerns the protection of children’s rights, the fight against violence against women, the struggle against cybercrime, or the promotion of sport, we have the opportunity to better assert who we are and to strengthen our efforts to extend and reinforce— across our continent—the principles that guide us.”
Afterwards, Prince Albert visited the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and met with Mr Mattias Guyomar, President of the ECHR, during a tour of the Human Rights building. The day ended with a gala dinner as part of Monaco Gastronomy Week.
