Albert II, Prince of Monaco, has sent his condolences to King Mohammed VI of Morocco following the devastating earthquake.
The statement reads, “Majesty, It is with deep emotion and deep sadness that I learned of the tragedy which affects the friendly Moroccan people following the powerful earthquake which struck your country this night and which claimed many victims. In this painful circumstance, allow me to address you on behalf of the Principality of Monaco and my family, my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers also go to the emergency services as well as towards people who come to the aid of the injured. Please be assured, Your Majesty, of our deep solidarity in this difficult ordeal.
