King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands have announced that they will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary next year in grand style.
At the same time, the Oranje Fonds (Orange Fund), which was a wedding present to the King and Queen, will also celebrate its 25th anniversary. They are the Royal Patrons of the Oranje Funds.
The festivities are meant as a “grand thank you to all the initiators and volunteers; we want to celebrate what has been achieved in 25 years.” The festivities will take place on 30 January 2027 in the Gelredome stadium in Arnhem. Over 35,000 people will be able to attend, and it will be broadcast live on television.
The King and Queen announced the festivities earlier today during a working visit in Rotterdam.
