Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden’s engagements will be limited in the autumn.
The Crown Princess will undertake fewer public duties this autumn due to training and studying at the National Defense Academy.
Information Director of the Royal Court, Margareta Thorgen, told Svenskdam: “The Crown Princess will attend what is called special officer training and she will have full focus on her studies at the National Defence Academy.”
“These are full-time studies and that means she will have significantly fewer official assignments during the autumn,” she added.
The Crown Princess will study on campus with other students beginning in August. The first part of her studies is expected to conclude in February 2025.
Crown Princess Victoria will still undertake some royal duties while studying, including travelling to Paris for the Paralympic Games.
Thorgen said Victoria “will take on the official assignments in the autumn that are still considered important. But the court will have to turn down a lot. So this will be a very different autumn for the Crown Princess.”
The Crown Princess is scheduled to attend the Race for the Baltic and the reception for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in August. She will also present the Raoul Wallenberg Prize and Junior Stockholm Water Prize.
