Crown Princess Victoria presents the Stockholm Junior Water Prize

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has presented the Stockholm Junior Water Prize in a ceremony in Stockholm City Hall.

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is an international science award designed for young people between the ages of 15 and 20. Young people from over 40 countries participated in the competition, which is organised together with the annual World Water Week in Stockholm

This year’s winners, Niklas Ruf and Jana Spiller from Germany, were awarded the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2025 for their work on developing a scalable flood warning system for small watercourses.

Crown Princess Victoria also presented the Diploma of Excellence to Kagan Mehmet Ozkok from Turkey for his groundbreaking work combining AI and water efficiency.

The People’s Choice Award was presented to Divyasri Kothapalli from the UK for her project, a Sun-Based water distillation system.

Crown Princess Victoria is the patron of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
