Crown Princess Victoria meets Emperor of Japan

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden met Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan in Tokyo.

Their Royal Highnesses met Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at the Imperial Palace on October 14.

Their Imperial Majesties hosted the royal couple for dinner in the evening, which ended the trip to the country.

The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel’s time with the Emperor and Empress was part of a wider visit to Japan that included meeting the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize recipients and a visit to Hiroshima.

Their Royal Highnesses laid a wreath at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and biked around the island of Teshima.

The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel are in Japan on an official visit from October 11-14. Crown Princess Victoria arrived in Japan ahead of her husband, on October 9, to visit the Swedish pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka.

The couple will next travel to South Korea for an official visit from October 15-17.
