Princess Beatrice’s younger daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, has been christened at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace in London.

The intimate private ceremony was attended by only close family and friends, including Beatrice’s disgraced parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.

Princess Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, also attended with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Two foreign royals were also in attendance: Prince Philippos and Princess Nina of Greece and Denmark. The pair are close friends of Princess Beatrice, and Princess Nina was reportedly one of Athena’s godmothers.

Other members of the Royal Family were reportedly invited but were unable to attend.

No further details, including photos, regarding the christening have been released.

Princess Beatrice’s younger daughter, Athena Mapelli Mozzi, was born prematurely on 22 January 2025. She has an older sister, Sienna, who was born in 2021. Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020.
