Princess Anne laid a wreath at the Liberation Memorial in Stanley.

It is now 40 years since the Falkland Islands were liberated from the Argentine occupation. The Liberation Memorial is a memorial to the British forces who served in the Falklands War in 1982.

The Princess Royal and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, are currently in the Falkland Islands for a six-day visit.
