Prince Louis offered first patronage

Prince Louis of Wales has been offered his first patronage at the age of seven.

According to the Telegraph, the World Conker Championships requested that the seven-year-old prince be their honorary patron.

Louis’s parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, politely declined the offer.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace told the Telegraph, “We really appreciate the invitation, but currently, Prince Louis is ‘conker-trating’ on his studies.”

The offer came after the Princess of Wales revealed her son’s obsession with collecting conkers – chestnut tree seeds that are used in a children’s game.

Catherine shared the information on her youngest child in September while at a Scouts event with US First Lady Melania Trump.

She said at the time, “We find chestnuts everywhere, in cupboards, in his bed—chestnuts everywhere.”

The Princess of Wales also shared that Prince Louis has been known to put them in his toy cars.
