Princess Tsuguko was born on the 8th March, 1986, at the Aiiku Hospital in Tokyo, a comprehensive perinatal medical centre. The Princess is the eldest daughter of the late Prince Takamado (1954-2002) and Hisako, Princess Takamado (b. 1953). Princess Tsuguko is not, however, in the Japanese line of succession. The Princess celebrated her Coming-of-Age in March 2006, receiving the Order of the Precious Crown (second class).
