The King and Queen of Bhutan have received a heritage award.
They were given the Hadrian Award at the Grand Kuenrey of Tashichhodzong, Thimphu. It was presented by a World Monuments Fund delegation led by Mr Juan Pablo Molyneux De Standish-Byrne, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World Monuments Fund.

The World Monuments Fund is dedicated to preserving cultural heritage worldwide. They present the Hadrian Award every year to individuals and institutions for exceptional contributions to safeguarding global cultural heritage.
