Japan’s Emperor Naruhito had a prostate biopsy on Sunday.

The emperor has since left the hospital after having to stay overnight. The research was done at Tokyo University Hospital. The result will be announced later by the Imperial Household Agency.

Earlier blood tests showed that there may be abnormalities in the prostate, which indeed turned out to be enlarged. The biopsy was done as a precaution.
