Queen Mary has undertaken a visit to a school to see the School Force program in action.

The Queen visited Pilehaveskolen in Vallensbæk with the Mary Foundation and Danish Minister of Children and Education Mattias Tesfaye.

She spoke to teachers and students about School Force and how it is helping them.

The school has a student council that comes up with ideas on how to improve the well-being at school.

About the program, headmaster Mette Juel said: “The fact that the School Force is used at all the municipality’s primary schools means that we, not just at our school, but together in the municipality, have gained a common language to talk about and also prioritize well-being. The School Force has contributed to the work promoting well-being becoming a continuous focus, and we have been given useful tools to deal with bullying if it occurs.”

The School Force program is supported by the Mary Foundation, Børns Vilkår and Save the Children. It is a well-being program aimed at helping children be happy, and less vulnerable and combat bullying.
