Members of the Bhutanese Royal Family participated in the GMC volunteer programme in Gelephu Mindfulness City.
King Jigme Khesar, Queen Jetsun Pema, Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel, Prince Ugyen Wangchuck and Princess Sonam Yangden took part in the seventh round of the programme on 29 August.
Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses visited the volunteer sites and met those helping out. Over 3,000 people have taken part in activities like clearing overgrown brush and levelling and tidying up.

Volunteers cleaned up the roadway between Gelephu International Airport and Gelephu Town, as well as the upcoming November site for 108 Jangchub Chortens.
The royals took photos with those assembled and provided support for their work, and the King was spotted taking his own photos with a camera as the Crown Prince looked on.
The seventh round of the GMC volunteer programme began on 28 August and concludes on 30 August.
