The Swedish Royal Family has welcomed war-injured Ukrainian children to the Royal Palace as they visit Sweden for recreation.
Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine received children from the ages of 10 to 18 at the Royal Palace for a cake party. The children, who were all injured during the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian War, were joined by their relatives for a time in the Scandinavian country.
The families are set to spend a couple of weeks in Sweden to relax and rest thanks to the generosity of the Emergency Preparedness Lift, Astrid Lindgren’s Children’s Hospital at Karolinska University Hospital and Min Stora Dag.
Last week, Prince Daniel met children on Lidingö alongside his and the Crown Princess’s organisation, Generation Pep, for outdoor activities. He played games with them and learned about their experiences during the war.
