Princess Lalla Meryem receives children from Jerusalem

Princess Lalla Meryem of Morocco received children from Jerusalem at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat.

The children will be participating in the 17th edition of the summer camps organised by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency.

The current edition is themed “Manarat Assala” (Lighthouse of Peace) and runs from 12 August to 26 August. The camp will bring together 50 children from Jerusalem between the ages of 11 and 14. They are joined by five adult supervisors.

The program of the camp includes competitions in sport and art, and educational and cultural visits.

Princess Lalla Meryem was greeted by Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, who is the director in charge of managing the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency. She also met the supervisors and some of the participating children. The children gave the Princess some commemorative gifts.

Since its inception, the program has benefitted 850 children from different parts of Jerusalem.
