Princess Iman of Jordan gave birth to twin girls on 14 August.
The twins are her second and third daughters with her husband, Jameel Thermiotis. No further information was released by the Royal Hashemite Court.
The baby girls, named Talia and Rania, join big sister Amina. Like their sister, they are not in the line of succession, as Jordan bars women from the throne. As the girls are children of a princess, they do not hold royal titles.
The full announcement from the Royal Hashemite Court read, “The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed, on 14 August 2026, with twin baby girls.
“The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to Princess Iman and Mr Jameel, as well as to Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this happy occasion.”
King Abdullah and Queen Rania now have 4 granddaughters, including Princess Iman (named after her aunt) as the daughter of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa.
Queen Rania announced Princess Iman’s pregnancy five weeks ago on social media, writing, “The grandchildren club is growing, and we couldn’t be happier for Iman, Jameel, and soon-to-be big sister Amina.”
