King Felipe of Spain has attended the South Summit.
The South Summit is a global meeting for entrepreneurship and innovation in Madrid.

The King was greeted by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas; the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida; the founder and president of South Summit, María Benjumea; the president of IE, Diego del Álcazar Benjumea; and the founder of IE, Diego del Álcazar.
King Felipe visited The Next Thing Big Stage, where he saw the startup Competition, which is one of the main attractions. He learned about projects from emerging companies from several countries during three-minute presentations.
The founder and president of South Summit, Maria Benjumea, addressed attendees and presented the “South Summit Leadership Award 2026” to Luiza Helena Trajano, president of the Board of Directors of Magazine Luiza (Brazil), in recognition of her business career and leadership.
The King went on to visit the AI forum, where he saw demonstrations of practical use of AI. He ended the visit with a tour of the Market Place stand, an exhibition space.
