Another organisation has cut ties with Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.

The Amandus Festival revealed in a press statement that they had ended their patronage with the royal due to her relationship with American paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

They explained that they had been following the Epstein case closely, and they decided it was best to end their relationship.

The festival explained, “When the NRK interview with the Crown Princess and the Crown Prince was published on March 20, we were in the final stages of the Amandus Festival 2026, and therefore did not have the opportunity to have the necessary discussions.”

“In the time after the festival and Easter, the board has made a thorough assessment of the matter, and has now concluded to end the collaboration. … The board has spent a good deal of time discussing the matter and has unanimously concluded that this decision will be correct for the further development of the Amandus Festival,” they added.

The Crown Princess told TV2 in Norway that she understood the decision, “I am so proud of the work that is done in these organisations. They do so much important work in Norway. I naturally want to continue the collaboration. But if any of the organisations need to end their patronage or put it on hold, I understand that. I want to contribute first and foremost.”

Crown Princess Mette-Marit has apologised for not realising the type of person Epstein was and for putting the Royal Family in a bad situation. She also said her relationship with him does “not represent the person I want to be.”

Several other organisations have severed ties with the future queen consort.
