King Charles and Queen Camilla will undertake a state visit to the United States.

The state visit will be immediately followed by a royal visit to Bermuda.

According to the press release, the program will “celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States, marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence.”

The state visit to the United States and the official visit to Bermuda will take place in late April.

This will be King Charles’s first state visit to the United States. His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, undertook four state visits to the United States in 1956, 1976, 1991 and 2007, respectively. However, he has visited the United States 19 times.

King Charles previously visited Bermuda as Prince of Wales in 1970. His visit to Bermuda will be the first by a reigning British King.
