Monaco’s Princess Stephanie has been made a Commander of the Order of Cultural Merit ahead of National Day.
Prince Albert was on hand to watch Princess Caroline, his older sister, present the highest form of the honour to their younger sister in the Blue Salon of the Prince’s Palace on 18 November.
Two of Stephanie’s children, Louis Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb, were also in attendance as six people were presented with their Orders of Cultural Merit.
This year’s recipients were Princess Stephanie, Ashok Adicéam, Björn Dahlström, Damien Mac Donald, Bruno Mantovani, Isabelle Minioni, and Pierre Nouvion Duboys of Shipyard.
The Order of Cultural Merit was created by Prince Rainier III in 1952 to recognise those who have made great contributions to the arts. It is open to those from Monaco and foreigners. Charlotte Casiraghi, the niece of Prince Albert, was made a Knight last year.
Monaco will celebrate their annual national holiday on Wednesday, 19 November, with a Mass at St Nicholas Cathedral and a parade at the Prince’s Palace.
