Royal congratulations for Luxembourg

The royal families of the world have extended their congratulations to Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg following his ascension to the throne.

Below are the congratulatory messages that have been shared publicly.

The Danish Royal House shared the following message on their website: “The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has today carried out a change of throne, and on this occasion Their Majesties the King and Queen have sent their warmest congratulations to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume and Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Stéphanie.”

King Carl Gustaf of Sweden sent the following telegram:

A message from King Harald of Norway was posted to social media:

King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium and King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia of the Netherlands were on hand to watch the historic abdication and swearing-in ceremony.
