Tessy Antony de Nassau has praised her former brother-in-law and sister-in-law ahead of the change in throne in Luxembourg.
Tessy, who was previously married to Prince Louis of Luxembourg, took to Instagram ahead of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume’s ascension to the throne.
Sharing a photo of Guillaume and herself, she praised his “dignity, integrity, and authenticity.”
Tessy and Prince Louis’s sons, Princes Gabriel and Noah, look up to their uncle and aunt, according to Antony de Nassau.
The former Princess of Luxembourg also took a moment to thank her former father-in-law for everything he has taught her.
She said in English: “This weekend, Luxembourg welcomes their new Grand Ducal couple — Guillaume and Stephanie.
“This is a historical event which I as a Luxembourger are proud to witness as the Mother of my two absolutely incredible sons, Gabriel and Noah and as a citizen of this incredible nation. My sons look up to their uncle and aunt with love and dedication.
“I am confident that their leadership will bring a fresh and energised spirit to the nation.
“I know Guillaume and Stephanie fairly well and know that Luxembourg 🇱🇺 and its people will have a new ruling family that puts their needs second in order to invest all their time and efforts in representing Luxembourg with dignity, integrity, and authenticity.
“As former Princess of this wonderful nation, I knew this day would come. Yet, having it here now fills me with humility and extreme joy.”

She then added in Luxembourgish, “Long live Grand Ducal Guillaume, and long live our Grand Duchess Stephanie, and long live our Grand Ducal Family! I love you. You do it ❤️
“To our Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Marie Teresa, thank you for all your life and dedication to our country and the people who call Luxembourg home. Especially, Henri, I thank you for everything I have learned from you, the many conversations we have had about our country, and the love we both share for Luxembourg. My entire family and I wish you both a wonderful retirement.”
Grand Duke Henri will abdicate in favour of his eldest child, Guillaume, at the Grand Ducal Palace this morning. Guillaume will be sworn in as the Grand Duke of Luxembourg an hour later.
