The Prince and Princess of Wales made a touching visit to Southport on 23 September to pay tribute to the little girls who died in a stabbing attack at a dance studio.
William and Catherine visited two schools where the three young girls once attended.
Their Royal Highnesses first visited Farnborough Road Infant and Junior School, where Elsie Dot Stancombe once attended. They spoke to teachers about how the school dealt with the tragic incident and how they helped the affected students. William and Catherine also met privately with Elsie’s parents and sister.
They travelled to Churchtown Primary School to view the new playground created in memory of Bebe King and Alice da Silva Aguiar, former students who were killed in an attack at a dance studio in 2024.

To focus on processing their grief, the school created fundraisers to create a memorial playground in memory of the little girls who were killed. After completion of the playground, excess funds were given to local charities that helped with recovery and the three charities that were created in memory of the three girls who died.
The Prince and Princess saw the playground that Kensington Palace said was “created to serve as a joyful, healing space for the school’s pupils. The space includes a stage and new indoor and outdoor library, as well as areas for quiet reflection, a multi-game space, climbing frame and bike cycle track for the youngest children.”
The couple spoke to the parents of Bebe King and Alice da Silva Aguiar, as well as students affected by the attack. They also spoke to Alice’s classmates to hear how an art project is helping them with their grief.

Three children were murdered in a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in July 2024 by Axel Rudakubana.
In a nod to the dance class, the Prince and Princess were given friendship bracelets by Bebe King’s mother that said “Bebe.” Friendship bracelets are regularly traded at Taylor Swift concerts.
