The mother-son duo joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester for the annual event at Royal Albert Hall in London.
Actress Hannah Waddingham hosted the event and paid tribute to her grandfather, saying at 90, he still “shares with me memories of his time in the Royal Navy.”
Sir Rod Stewart and Sam Ryder were among the performers.
The Royal British Legion’s annual Festival of Remembrance honours soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty. This year was especially poignant as it marks 80 years since the end of World War II.
This year’s festival aired on BBC One at 21:00 on 8 November.
