New permanent stamp to feature King of the Belgians

Bpost is releasing a new set of permanent stamps which will feature the Belgian King.

The new portrait on the stamp is based on an official photograph by Bas Bogaerts and was engraved by international expert Martin Mörck. The stamp was designed by Myriam Voz, a graphic designer at the Stamp Printing Works in Mechelen.

“They must be recognisable, dignified and timeless,” said Carla De Boodt, head of bpost’s philatelic program.

The stamps will cost €11.65 for the yellow National Prior, €14.90 for the mint green Non-Prior National and €14.90 for the pink Value 2 Non-Prior National.
