The Crown Prince of Bahrain paid a visit to Oman on Sunday.
Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa travelled to the Sultanate of Oman this past weekend for a short visit. The private trip by the Crown Prince, who also serves as Bahrain’s Prime Minister, reaffirmed the close ties between the two countries at a time of regional unrest.
The Crown Prince departed from the Royal Terminal of Bahrain International Airport on Sunday accompanied by, among others, the Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the President of the Court of the Crown Prince, Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa.
Upon arrival at the Royal Airport in Oman, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad was greeted by the Omani Crown Prince, Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. Greetings then took place between the two welcoming delegations.
The Crown Prince of Bahrain travelled to Al Barakah Palace to meet with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. The Sultan warmly received the Crown Prince on Sunday, before the two also met with welcoming delegations.
The Sultan and the Crown Prince sat for discussions in the Palace, which “highlighted the strength of the partnership between Bahrain and Oman.” A statement from the Court of the Crown Prince noted:
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed his pride in the depth of the relationship and the progress achieved across various sectors, underscoring the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to realise shared aspirations.
Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad conveyed felicitations from King Hamad bin Isa of Bahrain to the Sultan, who, in return, conveyed his warm greetings to the King.
Sultan Haitham bin Tariq also hosted a Luncheon banquet at Al Barakah Palace in honour of the Crown Prince.
Following the short private visit, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad of Bahrain was seen off at the Royal Airport by, among others, Omani Crown Prince Theyazin bin Haitham.
