King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium received two centenarians in audience at the Castle of Laken.

The centenarians are Annie Geeraerts and Raymond Verhaeghe. The first will turn 100 years old on 2 August, while the latter celebrated his 100th birthday on 19 March.

The two centenarians are actors who play on the VTM soap opera Familie (Family), where they play the married characters Anna Dierckx and Albert Thielens. The soap opera has been running daily for the last 35 years. Annie Geeraerts has played Anna since the very first episode, and Raymond Verhaeghe joined the cast from episode 112 in 1992, although he had appeared in a separate guest role earlier.
