Sweden’s Prince Alexander marks his tenth birthday today.
It is expected that the young prince will spend his day privately, at school and then celebrate with his family at home.
As he is not a member of the Royal House, the Swedish Royal Court will not share a photo of Prince Alexander to mark his birthday; however, his parents have traditionally released a new photo of each of their children on their personal Instagram page on their birthdays.

The young royal is the eldest child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden. He was born on 19 April 2016 in Danderyd Hospital. Alexander’s younger siblings are Prince Gabriel (b. 2017), Prince Julian (b. 2021) and Princess Ines (b. 2025).
His full title is Prince Alexander of Sweden, Duke of Södermanland and is fifth in the line of succession. He originally held the style of Royal Highness, but his grandfather revoked the royal styles of his grandchildren not in the direct line of succession in 2019. This was done to streamline the monarchy and allow his grandchildren to have more freedom to choose their futures.
