The Royal Court said the Crown Princess “through practical exercises at army units, has increased her understanding of how combat is tactically conducted at different levels and how capability-building activities are conducted within the Army.”
Crown Princess Victoria received training at Norrbottensbrigaden, the 13th Security Battalion at the Life Guards, the Life Guardsbrigaden, the Armed Forces’ Logistics and Motor School in Skövde, and the Armed Forces’ UAS centre.
She also learned about training and development at the Field Combat School and visited the Army Headquarters in Enköping to speak to army leadership on the branch’s future development.

The future queen fired weapons from tanks and trained in reconnaissance. She also gained experience firing the Swedish Armed Forces’ new assault rifle, the Assault Rifle 24.
The Crown Princess continues to prepare for her future role as monarch with various military training, and that has included outside Sweden’s borders. She participated in activities with the 71st Battalion in Latvia as part of Sweden’s NATO contribution to the Baltics. Sweden became a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in 2024.
