Emperor Naruhito of Japan took his wife, Empress Masaka, and his daughter, Princess Aiko, to watch a sumo wrestling tournament.
They were welcomed by Japan Sumo Association Chairman Hakkaku and watched the main bouts of the grand sumo tournament at the Ryogoku Kokugikan arena in Tokyo on Sunday. The chairman assisted as their guide.

It was the first time in six years that the Emperor and his family came to watch the sumo wrestling. Princess Aiko is known to be interested in sumo, and she took notes during the tournament.
