Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway has opened up in a new interview with Norwegian media regarding the accusations against her brother.
Norway’s future monarch is currently studying abroad in Australia, but a serious scandal involving her older half-brother is overshadowing her studies.
Speaking to NRK, the Princess spoke out about the accusations against her brother, Marius Borg Høiby, 28.
Høiby, who will go to trial in February 2026, has been accused of raping four women. He was charged with 32 crimes, including domestic violence, assault and rape in the summer of 2025.
Regarding the accusations, Princess Ingrid Alexandra said, “Of course it’s difficult. Both for those of us who are around, for me as a sister, and for mom and dad. And, of course, for everyone affected by the case.”
She was then asked how it felt to be so far away while this is going on, and she added, “Yes, it is… I don’t know if I want to go into it much more than that.”
The Norwegian Royal Family has remained mostly silent while the investigation continues into Høiby’s actions.
Høiby is the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit from a previous relationship.
