More information has been released ahead of the 2025 Earthshot Prize’s awards ceremony in Brazil.
An all-star lineup will support the awards, which were created by the Prince of Wales in 2020.
Anitta, dubbed the ‘Queen of Brazilian pop,’ will perform, as will Kylie Minogue, Gilberto Gil, Seu Jorge, and Shawn Mendes.
Minogue said about her upcoming performance, “Brazil – I’m coming back! It’s a privilege and honour to be part of The
Earthshot Prize in Rio – on stage with the people and the ideas that could save our planet.”
Two weeks prior to the ceremony, The Earthshot Prize released a trailer, “Meet the World’s True Action Heroes,” voiced by American actor Matthew McConaughey. It features the 15 finalists for this year’s prize and shows how they are making the world better.
The 2025 Awards Night will take place on Wednesday, 5 November at The Museum of Tomorrow, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Prince of Wales will be in attendance.
It is a culmination of the three-day The Earthshot Prize Summit that will take place from 3 – 5 November. Five of the finalists will win “a £1 million award to help advance or replicate their work and recognise their achievement and potential,” according to the Earthshot Prize.
