King Charles and Queen Camilla have attended an event to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Albert Hall in Ballater.

Their Majesties visited the Albert Hall to mark its special anniversary and met people from the local community who use the building, and watched the first performance of the fiddle tune composed by Dr Paul Anderson.

After the performance, the King and Queen unveiled a framed manuscript of the song to be hung in the Scottish hall to celebrate the anniversary.

They met students who designed the flags to celebrate the milestone and spoke to members of the Ballater Local History Group. Their Majesties also received Lego figures of themselves from the Lego Club, which made both of them laugh.

King Charles and Queen Camilla last visited the Albert Hall in August 2025 to see the new Banner of the Clan Farquharson at Victoria Hall.

The Albert Hall opened in 1875. It was refurbished alongside the Victoria Hall and Gordon Institute and reopened in 1987 by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

It is located just a few miles from their Scottish home, Birkhall.
