A new photo of Queen Rania of Jordan has been released to mark her 55th birthday.
The dedicated Queen consort to King Abdullah is seen in a light blue gown on the steps of the palace in the image released ahead of her birthday on 31 August.

On her birthday, Her Majesty’s Office said: “A mother of four and grandmother of two, Queen Rania’s longstanding commitment to children and youth has remained at the forefront of her activities. In her meetings over the past year with Jordan’s students and youth entrepreneurs, the Queen encouraged young people to remain rooted in Jordanian values, and to apply those principles to a world increasingly shaped by emerging technologies such as AI. ”
Queen Rania undertakes royal engagements in Jordan and abroad, primarily focusing on children, education, youth and women. She shares photos and videos from each event on her personal Instagram account @queenrania.
