A Dubai princess is engaged to Moroccan-American rapper French Montana.
Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum, the daughter of the Ruler of Dubai, is set to marry Karim Kharbouch, who is widely known by his stage name, French Montana.
The rapper’s representatives told American outlet TMZ that the pair became engaged in June at Paris Fashion Week, and the royal confirmed the engagement on her Instagram with a picture of her huge diamond ring.
Paparazzi have been following the couple throughout their travels in Morocco, who have reportedly been dating since 2024.
No details on the wedding have been released.
The Sheikha was born to the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and his Greek wife, Zoe Grigorakos, as Christina. She married Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum in April 2023. They have one daughter, Mahra, born in 2024. The couple divorced in July 2024.
Sheikha Mahra made headlines for her public divorce on Instagram. The royal took to her social media to say, “I divorce you. I divorce you. I divorce you,” which is the Islamic practice to declare a divorce called triple talaq.
French Montana was born in Morocco and immigrated to the United States at the age of 13. He became a US citizen in 2018.
He is a successful rapper who has collaborated with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Drake, Post Malone, and K-pop boy band Monsta X.
