The Dutch and Norwegian royals cheered on the speedskaters yesterday evening.
King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia were joined by Prime Minister Schoof and the chef de mission Carl Verheijen for the Women’s 3000 metres. There were three Dutch women fighting for a medal. King Harald and Queen Sonja were also present to cheer on the Norwegian skater, Ragne Wiklund.
The Dutch women did not reach the podium, but Ragne Wiklund came in second, taking the silver medal.

The Dutch King and Queen were up early this morning to watch the qualifiers for the Snowboard Women’s Parallel Giant Slalom with Michelle Dekker. She qualified and will be participating in the finals this afternoon.
