King Carl Gustaf has sent his condolences to Texas after devastating flooding killed at least 104 people.

The King sent a message to US President Donald Trump to extend his condolences.

His message said: “The Queen and I wish to express our deepest condolences on the tragic loss of life and widespread destruction caused by the devastating floods in Texas.

“We also wish to offer our heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims and to the people of the United States.”

The UK’s King Charles also extended his “deepest sympathy to all families who have lost loved ones and paid tribute to the courage and selflessness of the emergency service and volunteers,” according to the British Embassy in Washington.

A flash flood from the Guadalupe River in the early hours of 4 July killed over 100, including 27 campers and counsellors from Camp Mystic. The death toll is expected to rise, with many more still missing, and more rain is expected.
