Crown Prince Haakon of Norway is set to continue as a UNDP Ambassador with the United Nations.

The Crown Prince signed a new agreement on 20 November that extends his cooperation with the UN until 2027.

As part of his role, he works to promote the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, with a special focus on poverty eradication and ocean life.

Crown Prince Haakon also spent time focusing on the UN Millennium Development Goals, which were completed in 2015, and travelled around the world as a representative. He spent time in countries like Jamaica, Kenya, Guatemala, and Sierra Leon.

The Crown Prince has been a UNDP Ambassador since 2003.
