Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg made an appearance on the balcony of the Grand Ducal Palace following the ceremonies of the change of reign.
They were first joined by their two young sons, Prince Charles and Prince François.

The Grand Duke’s parents, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, joined them a bit later.

After this, the Belgian King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Princess Elisabeth and their Dutch counterparts, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Amalia also joined them on the balcony.

The Luxembourgish and Belgian families are closely related, as King Philippe’s aunt, Joséphine-Charlotte, was Grand Duke Guillaume’s grandmother. The Dutch royals are also related, albeit a bit more distantly.
They were also joined by the extended family – the Grand Duke’s siblings and their partners.
