Queen Anne-Marie of Greece has a new grandchild.
The last Queen consort of the Hellenes has a new grandson, Prince Kimon, who was born on 27 July 2026 in the United States.
Prince Kimon is the first child of Prince Philippos and Princess Nina. He was born via surrogate in America.
His full name is Kimon Thomas Konstantinos. The middle name Thomas is in honour of his maternal grandfather. His last middle name is a tribute to his late paternal grandfather, King Constantine.
The press office of the Greek Royal Family said of the birth, “Nina and Philippos extend their sincere gratitude to the surrogate and her family for accompanying them throughout this special journey. They also thank the medical team and key professionals for their care and support.
“Nina and Philippos are cherishing these first precious weeks together with Kimon and feel immensely happy to begin this new family chapter with their son.”
Prince Kimon is the tenth grandchild of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie. He is the first of their grandchildren to be born after the former monarch died in 2023.
Prince Kimon is also a distant member of the Danish Royal Family. Queen Anne-Marie was born a Princess of Denmark. Kimon’s great-aunt is Queen Margrethe of Denmark.
